Local Business Helps SPCA Save Lives By Serving as

Adoption Location for Eight Dogs In Need

 

Charlottesville, Virginia: The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA has seen an influx of dogs needing care during an already busy time of year, crowding kennel space. Thankfully, Pampered Pets of Charlottesville has stepped in to help by offering to house eight dogs awaiting adoption. Pampered Pets owner Jim Brown welcomes the public to visit Pampered Pets during business hours, stating, “we love animals, and we are always happy to assist the SPCA with their life-saving mission. Please visit Pampered Pets, we’ll be happy to help match you with your new best friend. From the charming, senior lab mix Jester to the perfect running buddy, Harley Quinn, we havethe perfect dog for your family.”  All of the dogs housed at Pampered Pets can be adopted for just $40, more than half-off of the regular adoption fee.

 

SPCA Director of Marketing and Development says, “We are so fortunate to have caring community partners like Pampered Pets, who step up to lend a hand to animals in need. It is only because of this support that we have been successful in maintaining our No Kill Community for more than seven years.”

 

Pampered Pets is located at 601 Concord Avenue in Charlottesville or can be reached by calling 434-293-PETS (7387). Business Hours are Monday through Friday: 7:30am - 5:30pm, Saturday: 8:00am - 4:00pm and Sunday: 9:00am - 4:00pm.

 

All adoptions include: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, heartworm testing, a free medical exam from participating vets, ID tag, a free behavior CD to help with your new pet and a lifetime of love and companionship.

 

The mission of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the lost, abandoned, and homeless animals of the City of Charlottesville and the County of Albemarle and to increase the number of these animals being placed in appropriate, loving, and permanent homes through adoptions, foster care, and outreach and to set a standard of excellence and leadership in shelter animal care, humane education, and progressive animal welfare programs.
