The Jefferson-Madison Regional Librarypresents“Making Sense of the American Civil War” A reading and discussion series at the Central Library in Downtown Charlottesville. The program includes a series of 5 readings found in 3 books: MARCH by Geraldine Brooks, CROSSROADS OF FREEDOM: ANTIETAMby James McPherson, and AMERICA'S WAR ... edited by Edward Ayers. There will also be a scholarly essay. The discussions will be October 4 and 18 and November 15 at 7pm.
